This ones been bugging me for a while so I figured it out (thanks Google) this evening.
Situation
- When turning the computer on a second user (or more) is still logged in.
- This occurs even if "Turn on fast start-up" is disabled
- User does not get logged off when rebooting or shutting down
- Logged in users appear as disconnected in the task manager
Cause
The cause is rather a simple one and most people would miss it entirely. One of the account options is as follows:
"Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart" is switched on.
Remedy
Switch it off!
Why?
One of the main reasons to switch this off is to save a little RAM. If your tight on memory, say running 4GB (upgrade if possible), you may want every ounce you can get!
